
This is to all teams that have signed up to attend MindStorm Mayhem (Shrewsbury Qualifier) on Dec 3rd 2011 at Oak Middle School (45 Oak St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545). We have 48 team current registered for this event. There is a lot of information in this email so please read carefully.
We have a packed day planned. Doors open at 7:00 am and the day will end at 4 PM. Each team will have 5 competition rounds before 1:30 pm. After 1:30 pm elimination matches begin. Your Rank will be determined by an average score of all 5 rounds. ALL TEAMS WILL COMPETE IN THE ELIMINATION MATCHES!
Schedule:
- 07:00am – Team arrival / Pits are open / Team registration
- 08:00am – Coach’s Meeting
- 08:30am – Opening ceremony and national anthems
- 09:00am – Rank matches and judging sessions begin
- 11:00am – Lunch Break
- 11:30am – Rank matches and judging sessions continued
- 01:30pm – Rank matches and judging sessions end
- 01:45pm – Eliminations Begin
- 03:25pm – Eliminations End
- 03:35pm – Awards ceremony
- 04:00pm – Load Out
Lunch:
Lunch will be sold at the event and most items will be sold for $1.00 with combo meals at $4.00. Please remember that there is no outside food allowed at this event. Please come back to the site a menu can be found here soon.

Below is some basic info:
Please don’t be late when your scheduled judging time. Judging will begin with or with out you. Only team members are allowed in the judging room. NO adults/coaches will be allowed in the judging rooms. This includes setup of equipment such as projectors, projector screens, tables and posters etc…
If there is any reason you have to pick between a match or judging, Go to your judging station as it is more important to be there!! We will try our best to make sure that all your matches are fulfilled.
Please remember if you do not present your project you cannot qualify for WPI. We will provide power in each judging room. Some rooms have their own built-in projector screens, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Practice Tables:
We will have two fully functional practice tables that the will be available the whole day. We will give everyone a chance to use them. Space is limited so we must ask that teams DO NOT BRING THEIR own table to the event.
Check-In:
When you first arrive please find the registration desk. Someone will be there to provided you with your information packet. The packet will contain information you will need for the day including a match list and judging times.
