Shrewsbury Robotics 2012 team participated in the Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival. The team joins this event to spread the message and ideals of FIRST.
Team 467 demonstrated the robot to all who attended the festival. A few of our student also had some time on air talking to a spac ( Shrewsbury public access channel ) to explain the program and why the children get involved.
This festival allows members of the Shrewsbury community to enjoy and learn about many of the town’s schools, clubs and organization. Our team has attended and participated since our founding. This year we sold popcorn and robot cookies, and worked to encourage younger members of the community to enjoy science, technology and engineering. We also made over $200 dollars in sales and donations to help the team towards travel to our competition.
